All About Me by Clamdiggy All About Me by Clamdiggy
This is what can be done with a "skeleton in the closet".  The unfinished painting was dwelling in the dark for years.  Matter of fact I almost threw it away a few times, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.  Here is the old version that still lives under the new paint:

All About Me (throwback version) by Clamdiggy

Acrylic on canvas board.  Time?  Endless....I didn't pay attention :giggle:

Special thanks goes to my preview crew...:iconlady-dragonrose:  and :icondygyt-alice:  Love ya'll!

Thanks to :iconc0mpassion: for suggesting the DD!

Done!  And accepted the request to join also.  It is amazing to see all those works of art with hands in one place.

Wonderful painting. Love the composition and it has an astounding 3-d effect. I never throw any of my unfinished work away, even if it is bad, as it may be recoverable when I am old enough to complete it. I think you finish paintings when you are ready, and aren't you glad you held onto this and completed it? You have inspired me to look out some of my cast offs. :happybounce:

Thank you, Mike!  What a fantastic comment!  As far as re-hashing a cast-off...I strongly urge you to do it.  It is a great feeling to finish one of these "skeletons in the closet" as I call them.  Knowing that I have inspired someone else to do so makes it even better!  If you do, I suggest posting the old one beforehand.  This, in a way, made me silently commit to the task - not only to myself, but to others.  If I had not done so, it may still be sitting there with a layer of dust.  (And knowing how I am, I believe it would be :giggle:)

Ahh now that's really nice you finished it Nod  This work looks so awfully good when it's done, the shapes, the lights and shades the rightly-put details on the hands and face, fine color combination, altogether they work to emphasize and elevate the pic's plot. I truly think this this piece is really artistic and perfectly done in both technique and meaning. Wahhh... Anyone would really want to become an artist like you ya knowHug  It's just... really goooood !!
